Provenance: vineyards are located in Diano Castello (IM)
Variety: 50% Syrah, 50% Grenache
Vintage: 2016
Vinification process: grapes are hand-harvested and then distemmed and crushed. The must is fermented in contact with skins for several days. Pump-overs and manual punch downs are performed periodically
Ageing: about 6 months in stainless steel
Ageing potential: 5 years
Appearance: garnet red with ruby hues
On the nose: intense perfume of black fruits such as prune, blackberry and a nice spicy note of black pepper
On the palate: balanced, fresh and round, with a high fruity character and slightly spicy
Food pairing: red meat and intense cheeses
Food pairing: The name Bormano finds its explanation in the toponym Lucus Bormani that echoes over the Ligurian territory in the pre-Romanesque period. Lusus means sacred clearing and Borman was the Celtic deity of the woods and warm spring waters
